The rules of the road for Final Boss Games. Short version: play anything you like, be decent to other people, and don't pass off the work here as your own.
By using bossfeed.fun — or bossgames.fun and theboss.games, which point at the same site — you agree to what's on this page. If you don't agree with something here, the right move is to stop using the site.
These terms can change. When they do, the date at the top changes with them, and the new version applies from the day it's posted. Nobody is emailed about it, so if this matters to you, check back now and then.
You don't need an account. Everything on the site can be played signed out, and your progress is kept on your own device.
If you do make one, you sign in with a link sent to your email address or with a Google account — there is no password to lose. Keep access to that email address secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
You're responsible for what happens under your account. Don't share it, don't sign in as somebody else, and don't make an account to get around a ban.
You get a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the site and play the games for your own enjoyment. That covers the ordinary things: playing, printing a puzzle pack for yourself or a classroom or a care home, sharing a link, talking about it anywhere you like.
It does not cover republishing the site's puzzles, games, artwork or writing as your own, selling them, or scraping the site to build a competing product or to train a commercial model. If you want to do something beyond personal use — including anything commercial — just ask; the answer is often yes.
Where you can post — comments, submitted posts, usernames, party-game rooms — don't:
Usernames run through an automatic filter that intentionally over-blocks, so a perfectly innocent name is sometimes refused. That's not a judgement about you — just pick another, or write in.
Anything you write here stays yours. By posting it you give permission to show it on the site and in the site's own feeds and emails, which is simply what publishing it means.
Submitted posts and comments are held for review before appearing. Anything can be declined or taken down — usually because it broke a rule above, occasionally because an automatic filter was overcautious. If yours disappeared and you think that was wrong, say so and it'll be looked at by a person.
Nothing you post is promised to be permanent. Keep your own copy of anything you'd be sorry to lose.
The site keeps track of streaks, experience points, collected items and cosmetics. None of it can be bought, none of it is a currency, and none of it has any value outside the site. It can be changed, reset, rebalanced or removed as the games get rebuilt — and it will be, because these are experiments.
Tips and Patreon support are gratefully received, but they buy nothing on this site and unlock nothing here. They are support, not a purchase. Those payments are handled entirely by Streamlabs and Patreon under their own terms.
You can stop at any time — sign out, or just close the tab.
Access here can be suspended or removed if someone breaks the rules above, and a banned account can't unban itself. Where it's a close call the aim is a word first rather than a ban, but persistent or serious abuse ends access without notice.
The games, puzzles, generators, writing, artwork and code are owned by Final Boss Games except where credited otherwise. The name and logo are ours too.
Plenty here isn't ours and is used openly: videos and posts embedded from other platforms stay with their creators, and the quotes, poems, artwork and game tiles come from public-domain and openly-licensed sources. All of it is set out on the sources and credits page — which also explains how a creator can have their work removed, no argument required.
The site links out constantly, and some games are hosted elsewhere. What happens on those sites is governed by their terms and their privacy policies, not this one.
This is a small site run by one person, offered free and as-is. It isn't promised to be available, correct, uninterrupted, or free of bugs. Puzzles occasionally have errors, games occasionally break, and the whole thing occasionally goes down.
Nothing here is professional advice of any kind. The recipes, the wellness prompts and the reading suggestions are exactly what they look like — things one person thought were good.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Final Boss Games isn't liable for loss arising out of using the site — including lost progress, lost streaks, or content that gets removed. Some places don't allow those limits to be excluded, and where that's true, this paragraph doesn't apply to you.
The site is built to be suitable for a wide range of ages, and what arrives from elsewhere is filtered with that in mind. It isn't a service aimed at young children, and accounts aren't intended for them — see the privacy policy for how that works in practice.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stands. Not enforcing a rule on one occasion doesn't mean giving it up. These terms, together with the privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and Final Boss Games about using the site. And nobody is responsible for failures caused by things genuinely outside their control — an outage at a hosting provider, say.
Questions about these terms, a permission request, a takedown, or an account problem — one address, and a person reads it.
