Orbs floating in night
A cottage hiding in the woods
An adventures start
There's a nice suspension at work here — orbs adrift in darkness before any ground appears beneath them, so the eye starts skyward and only slowly finds the cottage tucked into the woods below. That downward settling, from open night to hidden shelter, gives the piece its quiet turn: vastness narrowing into a single small, secretive place. The mood leans toward dusk-lit wonder rather than menace, those orbs reading more like will-o'-the-wisps or lantern light than anything threatening, which keeps the woods inviting instead of foreboding.
Then the final line snaps the whole scene into motion. Two lines of stillness — light, shelter — get reframed as the threshold of a journey, and suddenly the cottage isn't just cozy, it's a beginning. That's the compression paying off: nothing is explained, but the reader supplies the story that follows. A second read lets you notice how much narrative momentum hides inside so few, unhurried images.
