Large print is on for this page and for the puzzle you open from it. Turn it off any time — nothing else changes.
Most "large print word search" results are PDFs you have to print, or books you have to buy. This one is a real puzzle you play in the browser, set in oversized type with a heavier letter stroke, roomier tiles and controls sized for an unsteady tap. A new grid arrives every day, and the words you find complete a quote worth reading.
How to play
- Everything on this page is already in large print — the puzzle opens that way too.
- Find each hidden word by dragging across it, or tapping its first and last letter.
- On a phone, tap the corner button to fill the screen and lose the page around it.
- Prefer the standard size? Turn large print off with the button above — it remembers your choice on this device.

Common questions
How large is the large print, exactly?
The grid letters roughly double, up to about 42px, and thicken to a heavier weight — size alone helps less than stroke weight does. Everything around the grid scales with it: the quote you are completing, the timer, the buttons and the hint labels. A puzzle that enlarges the grid and leaves 11px labels underneath has not actually been made readable.
Do I have to print anything, or buy a book?
No. This is a playable puzzle, not a printable worksheet — it runs in any browser on a phone, tablet, laptop or big desktop monitor, and it is free every day with no account and no app. If you do want paper, the site's daily pack at /print collects the day's puzzles in a printable sheet.
Can I make it easier to see in other ways?
Yes, and the two settings stack. Large print controls size; the free High Contrast colour scheme in the Key Vault controls colour, deepening the ink and strengthening every border. Turn both on and the puzzle is large and high-contrast at once. The site also respects your system's reduced-motion setting and dark mode.
Will it stay in large print next time?
If you turn it on with the button, yes — the choice is saved on this device and survives signing out, because it describes the screen rather than the person. Arriving here or using a large-print link switches it on for that visit only, so nothing is changed behind your back.
