B1ndas takes the haiku's usual patience and flips it sideways. Instead of a frog, a pond, a season's first frost, we get a straight-faced jab at anyone stuck staring at a blank page. The setup plays coy, almost sympathetic — writer's block not fun? — before the turn arrives like a shrug: thinking. It helps. That's the whole joke, and it lands precisely because the form promises wisdom and delivers a dad-joke deadpan instead.
The mood is less seasonal than tonal — dry, wry, faintly exasperated, the emotional weather of anyone who's ever opened a document and closed it again. What the compression achieves is comic timing; there's no room to soften the punchline, so it just sits there, bare and a little smug. Read it twice and the flatness becomes the craft — brevity doing the deadpan's work for it.
