Do you think people make snap judgments about you based on your appearance? Are they accurate or not?
Your move, writer.
Do you think people make snap judgments about you based on your appearance? Are they accurate or not?
Your move, writer.
One way in: comedy of errors, the story of the one snap judgment that was so wrong it became a running joke in your family or friend group — the time someone assumed you were a lifeguard, a substitute teacher, a bouncer, and the absurd chain of events that followed before the truth came out.
Another angle: the quieter, more honest route — a specific first impression you know people get right, and what it costs or gives you to be read accurately before you've said a word. Sometimes accuracy is its own kind of exposure.
Or go philosophical and generous: write about the judgments you've caught yourself making about others, and how that habit changed once you realized how often you'd been misjudged yourself.
