One direction: a kid's front tooth goes missing right before a school picture, and mom's frantic contouring with concealer becomes the whole comedy, the horoscope taped to the mirror insisting today brings "unexpected charm."

Another: something quieter, a woman finds her late grandmother's makeup case, one tooth-shaped pearl earring inside, and a horoscope clipping tucked in the lining that her grandmother apparently read every morning without telling anyone — the note becomes a way into who she really was.

Or go sideways and strange: a tooth fairy who's terrible at her job, wears too much blush, consults actual horoscopes to decide which kids get money versus IOUs, and tonight her charts are all wrong. Play it for whimsy, dread, or tenderness — the objects don't care which mood claims them first.
