What is the best book you have ever read? Why did you like it? Did reading the book change you in any way? What way?
Your move, writer.

Some days this question points toward comfort — that childhood book you reread until the spine gave out, the one that felt less like reading and more like coming home. Write about the smell of that copy, the illustrations you could redraw from memory.
Other days it points toward a jolt — a book that showed up at the exact right, wrong moment and rearranged something in you. Maybe it handed you language for a feeling you'd been carrying without a name, or made you brave enough to do the thing you'd been circling for years.
And sometimes the honest answer is stranger than a single favorite — a stack of books, each one doing different work, each one the "best" for a different version of you. There's no wrong door here. Just start with the cover you can still picture clearly, and follow what it opens.
