📖 Notes & analysis

You could go the childhood route: the book that taught you to love reading in the first place, maybe something with a battered spine and a library stamp, and what it felt like to disappear into a story for the first time. Or take the harder turn, a book that arrived at exactly the right, painful moment, one that made you feel less alone or handed you language for something you couldn't name yourself. There's also the quieter, funnier angle: a book you're almost embarrassed to admit changed you, something unliterary or unfashionable that still rearranged how you see the world. And don't overlook the option of writing about a book you argue with, one you loved and disagreed with at the same time.
