📖 Notes & analysis

There's a cozy, comic route here: the whole piece lives in the logistics of being tiny, climbing bedsheet mountains, negotiating with a suddenly enormous housecat, turning a thimble into a bathtub. Played for laughs, the fun is in the mismatch between a small problem-solver and a giant ordinary world.

Or lean into wonder instead of panic. Two inches tall might mean the dollhouse is finally livable, the garden is a jungle worth exploring, dust motes catch light like snow. This version treats the shrinking as a gift, a chance to notice what's always been overlooked.

There's also a quieter, more reflective angle: what if smallness is a metaphor arriving at just the right moment, a feeling of being unseen or overwhelmed given a literal shape. The story could end not with a cure, but with the character learning to be mighty at two inches.
